Blog Number Six!

Oops! Sorry I forgot to do this blog yesterday! So now I am doing it today! (Sorry Ms.Hodge) I am still really confused about the analysis and synthesis of our project... is our analysis supposed to be based on facts? Or is it supposed to be how we interpret the picture? But I guess at this point some of my analysis of the picture "Bang" is that a message going painted in the picture is how racism still exists today, it has existed for centuries, and even and in some cases it exists in children. I think it says that children who are African American and of all race shouldn't have to expierence racism and we should as a whole world work towards eliminating racism. There are many symbols such as the white bird house to the right of the picture that explain how "white people" have been "in power." And the middle of the potrait is two african american children which tells me that children are our future in elminating a racism barrier that has existed for so long. My synthesis would be that over the times of looking at the painting I have noticed different symbols that could mean different things, also when I first looked at it, all it was to me was two children standing in a back yard, but now I see all of these hidden messages within. Is that what you are talking about for the analysis and synthesis??????

  1. The analysis is supposed to be how we interperet our piece. Your analysis sounds good. Hope that helps clear stuff up a little. Since Ms. Hodge hadn't commented yet I thought I'd try to help. )
