The most challenging aspect of this unit for me was probably was the analysis. I thought it was really difficult because it made you think about what you saw which is hard for me. I thought that the analysis was kind of like analyzing symbols in a painting. It confused me when we had to take the symbols and give them our own meaning. I also thought it was challening to write a written description because there was so much going on with my painting.
What worked well for me and helped me learn in thsi project was using the internet and looking up information. I also thought it was easy to be organized witht the blog and your blog page really helped because it had a lot of links. And I could find a lot of useful information when I went there even if I was at my house. I also thought that you commenting on our blogs was awesome! it gave me good feedback and it helped me a lot!
I thought that everything went pretty smoothly, it was just at the beginning when I was setting up my blog and everything that it was really confusing and hard. Maybe you could have had like a little step sheet on how to set up a google account and create a blog??? It wasn't too difficult but it was just confusing at first.
I think that this project should definitely be taught in ninth grade english because it is fun and cool to do! You get to use a lot of neat gadgets on the computer that you don't usually get to use in other classes. It was fun to look at paintings and be able to say what WE think and not what someone else does. It also was cool to do a powerpoint and be able to have fun designing it and looking for cool pictures! I thought it was really fun and I learned a lot!!
